[Uihaksinmun·Ilgan Bosa = Reporter Jung Kwang-sung] St. Peter's Hospital (Director Yoon, Kangjun), a general hospital focused on spine, joint and cerebro-cardiovascular care, announced on the 24th that it had recently donated 100 sacks of ‘rice for sharing’ to Yangjae-dong Catholic Church for Christmas to support the local community.

The donation was made as part of the ‘Warm Sharing Project’, a social contribution initiative St. Peter's Hospital has continued for more than 22 years, going beyond one-off donations of goods each year-end and centering on essential daily necessities such as briquettes and rice to help stabilize the lives of vulnerable people who face heavy living costs in winter.
Through Yangjae-dong Catholic Church, the rice will be delivered to vulnerable households in the area, including seniors living alone and low-income families facing financial hardship or in need of help.
Yoon, Min Ha, Administrative Director of St. Peter's Hospital, said, “Fulfilling social responsibility to close welfare blind spots in the community is one of the important roles of a regional hub medical institution,” adding, “I hope this act of sharing becomes a small hope for a better life for neighbors in the community who are struggling.”
Yangjae-dong Catholic Church responded, “We are deeply grateful to St. Peter's Hospital for practicing sharing for the local community without fail every year,” adding, “We will deliver the rice we received first to the neighbors most in need, so that warmth can be spread throughout the community.”
Meanwhile, as the region's leading general hospital, St. Peter's Hospital carries out a range of social contribution activities, including scholarships and free screening for middle and high school students and support for comprehensive health screening for vulnerable households in the district. Director Yoon, Kangjun in particular has signed an agreement with Dogok 1 Senior Welfare Center and serves as contract physician, regularly managing the health of local seniors.
