Health Screening FAQ
  • Q
  • Can I have this year the health screening I missed last year?
  • A
  • Yes, you can have your health screening this year.
However, it is not carried over automatically, so you must apply yourself. You can apply easily with the National Health Insurance Service by phone, app or online.
  • Q
  • How do I get a health screening for a driver's license renewal?
  • A
  • If you have had a National Health Screening within the 2 years before renewing your driver's license, you can be exempted from the vision and hearing tests. This applies only to records for which settlement has been completed at the screening institution.
  • Q
  • Are health screenings different for civil servants and company employees?
  • A
  • No. The health screening arranged by your company or organization is the same as the National Health Insurance Service general health screening.
  • Q
  • Does colorectal cancer screening start with a colonoscopy?
  • A
  • It begins with a fecal occult blood test.
A colonoscopy is performed only if there is an abnormal finding. If you would like a colonoscopy without the stool test, we take colonoscopy bookings after referral to Internal Medicine. We also book a gastroscopy for the same day as the colonoscopy.
  • Q
  • If gastroscopy and colonoscopy under sedation are done together, why are they billed separately?
  • A
  • This is because the tests take different amounts of time.
Sedated gastroscopy takes about 5 minutes and sedated colonoscopy about 10 minutes, so additional sedative is given and the cost differs.

Receiving results
  • Results can be received within 14 days of the screening by post, KakaoTalk, email or another method you prefer.
We also carry out screening for those who need a medical aptitude test (aptitude test for older taxi and freight drivers), a health certificate for license issuance, a public health certificate, pre-employment screening, a firearms examination, a health screening for healthcare workers, or documents for health screening for international students.
