Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
What is Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)?
This is a non-invasive treatment that delivers 1,000-1,500 shockwaves to the painful lesion, helping blood vessels in the area to re-form and activating tissue and bone, and it is highly effective in reducing pain and improving function. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, requires no hospitalization and allows an immediate return to daily life. It is usually repeated 2-3 times at weekly intervals depending on the patient's condition; after treatment, avoid strenuous exertion for 4-6 weeks and continue with daily life while the effect develops.
