KYMERO

A neurological treatment robot capable of precise brain microsurgery for patients with intractable epilepsy

KYMERO is a state-of-the-art robotic device that can be used across a wide range of neurosurgical fields, including drug-resistant epilepsy, movement disorders such as Parkinson's Disease, brain tumor biopsy and surgery for cerebral hemorrhage.

O-ARM

This is the latest 3D imaging system, which allows the lesion site and the insertion position of surgical instruments to be checked in real time during a procedure.

Rotating through 360 degrees, this device scans 391 anatomical images in 13 seconds and renders them as 3D imaging. It raises the safety of highly demanding, high-risk spinal surgery in particular, markedly reducing surgical complications and the likelihood of revision surgery.

C-ARM

This device is designed so that advanced high-definition digital imaging allows the lesion to be diagnosed in real time during the procedure, letting doctor and patient see the course of treatment and the results together within a short time.

Ultra-precision microscope

Carl Zeiss precision microscope

Its auto-balance function lets the microscope align itself with the lesion site, and its wide focal range makes it suitable for microscopic cerebrovascular surgery as well as spinal surgery.

Microendoscope

Designated Korean training hospital for endoscopic disc procedures (joimax)

Rather than the wide surgical field of the past, this minimally invasive approach uses a microendoscope of less than 0.5cm to check and treat the lesion in real time, so there is little risk of touching the nerves and relatively little damage to the surrounding tissue. Surgery can also be performed under local anesthesia, so even patients at high anesthetic risk, such as the elderly or those with diabetes or hypertension, can be treated using the microscope.

Transcranial magnetic stimulator

TMS magnetic therapy uses a magnetic field to stimulate a localized area of the cerebral cortex non-invasively, without anesthesia or incision, treating a range of neurological conditions such as headache, tinnitus and depression.

Digital subtraction angiography system

Angiography not only diagnoses lesions in real time but also allows simple procedures to be performed, treating the lesion without surgery.
For the diagnosis of vascular lesions, the system is equipped with DSA angiography techniques that image the vessels while excluding unnecessary bone and muscle, the latest 3D imaging, and cardiovascular imaging techniques that can diagnose conditions such as coronary artery stenosis without being affected by the rapid motion of the heart, providing a fast and accurate environment for procedures; angiography allows precise diagnosis and intervention for every lesion that can arise in a blood vessel, including atherosclerosis, aneurysm, stenosis, thrombus, tortuous vessels and arteriovenous fistula.

Cerebral blood flow analyzer

TCD (Transcranial Doppler) means Doppler through the skull; the examination is carried out through windows located over the skull, without opening it.

It is a non-invasive vascular examination that uses a probe applying the Doppler effect to measure blood flow circulation in the intracranial arteries, the extracranial arteries and the peripheral arteries.

EECP treatment for circulatory disorders

EECP circulatory disorder therapy is equipment used to promote blood circulation in cases of leg numbness and circulatory disorders caused by nerve damage from conditions such as lumbar disc herniation and spinal stenosis, as well as heart failure, angina and arteriosclerosis.
It is a non-invasive cardiac and vascular treatment that strengthens hemodynamic function, taking over or supporting the work of the heart so that the heart can ultimately perform its own function properly.
EECP circulatory disorder therapy has been approved through clinical trials by the FDA and other certification bodies, and is used for a wide range of conditions: not only nerve damage from lumbar disc herniation and spinal stenosis and heart disease, but also vascular regeneration after stroke, early dementia (Parkinson's Disease) and cardiac disease.

3D Mammography

Many Korean women have dense breasts rich in glandular tissue. In such cases the tissue is firm or dense, so two-dimensional images come out white overall, making breast tumors difficult to detect.

Unlike the existing two-dimensional images, our hospital has introduced a 3D mammography system that acquires three-dimensional images and allows detailed examination of the form of the patient's breast tissue in three dimensions, making early diagnosis of breast cancer possible.

Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy

Cancer can be caught with early screening.
Endoscopy allows early detection of gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, gastritis, colitis and intestinal tuberculosis, and any polyps found can be removed.

Cancer is still the leading cause of death in Korea, and it is no exaggeration to say that stomach cancer and colorectal cancer vie for first and second place among cancers. Because stomach and colorectal cancer have a very high cure rate when found early, regular examinations are necessary.

Arc zenith (2 units)

It measures brain waves precisely through electrodes placed inside the brain or on the brain surface, and, when needed, checks brain function by direct stimulation.
It is used mainly to identify where seizures begin in patients with epilepsy and to assess important brain functions before surgery, and simultaneous recording from multiple electrodes allows a wide area of the brain to be analyzed.

Arc Apollo (4 units)

Electroencephalography (EEG) equipment used in a variety of settings, including the operating room, intensive care unit and outpatient clinic.
It is used for everything from basic brain function assessment to detailed pre-operative examination in patients with epilepsy, and expanding the number of channels allows finer analysis. The device supports brain function monitoring during surgery and pre-operative assessment.

It is outstanding for diagnosing the spine, joints, cerebrovascular disease, heart, liver, breast, uterus, prostate and pancreas. It is harmless to the body and capable of 3D imaging, and BioMatrix technology automatically detects the patient's vital signals to improve image accuracy, enabling fast, precise, high-quality imaging.

Test duration Within 10~20 minutes
Pre-test guidance No fasting is required for spine or joint scans; if a contrast medium is used, fasting is required and the examination may take a little longer.
Pregnant patients should tell the staff before the examination.

640-channel MDCT

Low-dose CT
Capable of examining the brain, heart and blood vessels, this is the highest-specification CT in existence. It shows three-dimensional planes — axial, coronal and sagittal — and is a method that can examine the moving organs of the body accurately.

Test duration Within 1 minute
Pre-test guidance Fasting: Fasting is not required for spine or joint scans, but it is required for liver, pancreas, breast, uterus and prostate examinations that use a contrast agent. If you are pregnant, please tell the staff before the examination.

X-RAY

This is the most basic examination method for the spine and joints.

Test duration Within 1 minute
Pre-test guidance Fasting: Fasting is not required for spine or joint scans, but it is required for liver, pancreas, breast, uterus and prostate examinations that use a contrast agent. If you are pregnant, please tell the staff before the examination.

3D whole-body scanner

There is no exposure to radiation or lasers, and a 360˚ whole-body scan takes just over 10 seconds. It measures and analyzes body shape and left-right balance at the same time, so it can be used not only for body management in patients with obesity or diabetes but also to track progress through rehabilitation and to identify in advance conditions that may arise later, such as pain and after-effects caused by postural imbalance.

Infrared thermography system

Pain can be measured objectively, and because there is no radiation risk it can also be used on pregnant women and infants. The effect of treatment can easily be checked before and after, and it can examine neuropathy and muscle pain that X-ray or CT cannot detect.

This examination is essential for anyone with facial palsy, facial pain, arthritis, numbness in the hands and feet, back pain, stiff shoulders, unexplained paralysis or pain, or after-effects of a traffic accident.

ANDAGO

Robotic equipment that, after initial gait training, helps patients walk independently using lower-limb strength and upper-limb movement.

It allows autonomous gait training on real ground, detecting the patient's intention to move and moving with them to assist training while reducing the risk of collision and falls. Because gait training can be carried out safely, the patient's condition can be observed more accurately.

Anti-Gravity Treadmill
Gravity-controlled gait rehabilitation system

The newly upgraded Anti-Gravity powered orthopedic exercise device uses DAP (Differential Air Pressure / air pressure control system) technology developed by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). To restore the muscle and joint function of the lower body weakened by surgery or trauma, it reduces each individual's body weight load by up to 1%~80%, lessening the load placed on the joints during walking, running and closed-kinetic chain exercise and slowing gravitational loading. It is the only gravity-controlled gait rehabilitation system that allows fast and safe rehabilitation exercise.

Anti-gravity gait correction exercise

G-TRAINER (anti-gravity gait correction exercise)
Because of post-operative pain, most rehabilitation exercises are done lying down, which can delay recovery or, in severe cases, lead to recurrence. The G-Trainer solves this problem: developed by NASA to help keep astronauts healthy, it has also earned FDA approval, proof of just how remarkable the system is.

The G-Trainer uses an air pressure control system that removes the effect of gravity entirely, easing the load on the spine and joints, so patients can stand and begin rehabilitation training immediately after surgery and correct faulty gait habits via the monitor. It is excellent equipment not only for disc treatment but also for knee joint treatment, muscle strength and conditioning in older people, and treatment of sports injuries.

NEUROGAIT

AI-based physical function assessment system
NEUROGAIT is an assessment system that uses smart pressure sensors to measure the pressure on the soles of the feet and the shift of body weight while the patient walks or stands, checking gait, balance and physical function.

Walking speed, left-right balance, and where weight is placed and how it shifts can all be checked as data, and a variety of physical function assessments — walking, balance tests, standing up from a chair — give a more concrete picture of the patient's current movement and functional status. These results are used to assess the patient's condition and to plan rehabilitation.

Dynamic posturography and balance training system

The dynamic posturography and balance training system is a rehabilitation system that analyzes shifts in the patient's centre of gravity and their balance ability in order to assess and train equilibrium. It can be used for automatic balance testing and dynamic posturography as well as for customized vestibular exercise, balance training and fall-prevention training.

The ability to maintain balance can be checked while varying the movement of the platform and the screen, the visual conditions and more, and step-by-step training can be carried out with biofeedback linked in real time to the patient's movements. Accumulated assessment data also make it possible to track changes over the course of rehabilitation.

WINBACK BACK3TX

Winback’s TECAR Therapy system line is a medical device that uses high-frequency current to raise deep heat within the body and increase blood flow, helping in the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Its distinctive feature is that it uses three types of high-frequency energy — 300kHz, 500kHz and 1MHz — to generate deep heat in tissue at various depths within the body that are difficult to reach with manual therapy alone, thereby relieving pain and inflammation.

Neuromuscular stimulation exercise

Sling exercise is equipment that uses accessories such as slings, straps and elastic cords, focusing on closed kinetic chain (CKC) exercise in which body weight is loaded during the exercise, so that the neuromuscular system can be stimulated and treated effectively.

Anti-gravity decompression therapy

Spine MT (anti-gravity decompression therapy)

This is a non-surgical spinal decompression and correction device. It provides three-dimensional disc correction and decompression, and can correct and decompress the area from the pelvis through the entire sacrum at the same time.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

This method delivers high-energy shock waves to lesion sites of all kinds to treat them.

It plays a variety of roles, including structurally altering cell tissue, stimulating bone growth, stimulating the regeneration of cell tissue, and changing the structure of calcium deposits to promote the reabsorption of calcium into the body.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a physiotherapy method that sprays ultra-low-temperature CO2 (carbon dioxide) directly onto damaged blood vessels, muscles and nerve tissue to promote tissue regeneration.

Physiotherapy is delivered not as a direct cold pack but as a gentle rotating mist spray. Because no steroids or anesthesia are needed and the pressure can be adjusted to the symptoms, it can treat not only post-operative pain but also a wide range of conditions arising in daily life, such as muscle pain, neuralgia, cervical and lumbar disc herniation, pain, acute pain, chronic arthritis, geriatric conditions and skin rashes.

With a real-time air-bubble detection sensor and emergency response functions, it also allows elderly patients with fragile blood vessels to receive high-efficiency dialysis safely and with peace of mind.

PRO HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)

HIFU: High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound
HIFU is non-invasive treatment equipment that uses the high heat generated when high-intensity ultrasound is focused on a single point to necrose uterine myoma and adenomyosis.

Because the procedure uses ultrasound that is harmless to the body, the same as that used in prenatal examinations, it is a non-invasive method that requires no scalpel or needle, and a treatment that can ease the psychological burden of surgical resection for patients.

MonaLisa Touch

The MonaLisa Touch procedure uses a D-pulse carbon dioxide (CO2) fractional laser to stimulate the basal layer and thereby the vaginal mucosa, synthesizing not only collagen but also hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, so that metabolism is activated and promoted as it was before menopause — a vaginal rejuvenation treatment.

It has obtained the CE mark, the European product safety mark, and has also been certified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its safety and quality as vaginal treatment equipment. Because it is performed with a laser and without anesthesia, it puts no strain on the body and is painless, with the advantage of a short procedure time of about 10 to 15 minutes.

Prostate cancer HIFU

Until only a few years ago, treatment had to be carried out by surgical resection, whether the patient wanted it or not. In some cases patients had to endure mental and physical suffering from after-effects of surgery such as erectile dysfunction, incontinence, pelvic lymphocele and rectal injury. But now! Prostate cancer can be treated with the 'Prostate cancer HIFU' procedure. [Prostate cancer HIFU] refers to a non-surgical treatment for prostate cancer in which, rather than surgical resection, high-intensity ultrasound heat is focused on the prostate cancer site to necrose only the targeted tumor.

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) is a treatment that generates high-energy shock waves outside the body and focuses them on a kidney stone or ureteral stone to break it into small fragments, which are then passed out in the urine.

It involves relatively little pain compared with other methods and can break stones down finely regardless of their size. Because imaging is carried out in real time with high-resolution X-ray, examination and treatment times are short, which is more convenient for patients who find it hard to set aside long periods.

Hyperthermia cancer therapy system

This treatment applies energy selectively to the cancer tissue alone, generating heat within it and raising the metabolic rate so that the supply of oxygen to the cancer cells is blocked and their proliferation is suppressed, destroying the cancer cells.

Used together with radiotherapy and chemotherapy it enhances treatment, and its automatic focusing function destroys cancer cells intensively without imaging such as CT or MRI, allowing efficient treatment. Major advantages are that it is painless and non-toxic, with almost no side effects.

Pain Scrambler

The Pain Scrambler is a cancer pain treatment device with the European CE mark and US FDA approval. The Pain Scrambler artificially creates a no-pain signal, applies it to the skin around the painful area of the spine and delivers it to the brain through non-invasive electrodes. The pain signal and the no-pain signal are transmitted to the brain mixed together, so the brain perceives them as an entirely different signal — the principle being that the pain is thereby forgotten.

Dizziness examination system

The CHARTR200 is a dizziness examination method that checks the eye movements produced under a variety of test conditions in order to distinguish the type of dizziness (central or peripheral), its intensity and which side is affected. Sensors in the light bar continuously measure the distance to the patient during the test, so the examination proceeds with real-time monitoring.
