St. Peter's Hospital introduces the Medical Fee Hi-Pass system
St. Peter's Hospital announced today (the 19th) that it has introduced a Medical Fee Hi-Pass system to make patient services more convenient.
The Medical Fee Hi-Pass system is a service that automatically receives and settles medical fees using a payment card registered in advance. Once care and examinations are complete, payment is processed automatically without a visit to the payment desk, so patients can go straight home without waiting, and once a card is registered it can be used continuously on later visits as well.
St. Peter's Hospital explained that it decided to introduce the system in view of the many patients who receive outpatient care on a regular basis. The aim is to simplify the payment process so as to reduce repeated waiting and unnecessary walking for patients and their families, and to provide a smoother, more comfortable care experience. Through this, the hospital expects to ease congestion within the hospital and to help build a more stable care environment.
To use the service, register a credit card in your own name at the payment desk; it can then be used from the same day. If a family member other than yourself needs to make payments, additional family registration is also possible. Personal information and card details are handled securely through a separate financial information storage service provider, and use for any purpose other than paying medical fees incurred at the hospital is strictly restricted.
St. Peter's Hospital is also actively building a smart care environment to improve patient convenience. It recently renovated the first floor of the New Wing, repositioning consultation rooms with patient flow in mind, refurbishing waiting areas and kiosks, and overhauling the guidance system. Going forward, the hospital plans to introduce a mobile application-based administration and care system to make using the hospital even more convenient.
Yoon, Min Ha, Administrative Director of St. Peter's Hospital, said, “We introduced the Hi-Pass system to minimize the inconvenience patients face during payment and to provide a better care experience,” adding, “We will continue to improve the care environment with patients closely in mind and strengthen our role and standing as a general hospital in the community.”
Meanwhile, St. Peter's Hospital is a general hospital with 15 clinical departments, providing care in core fields such as spine, joint and cerebro-cardiovascular disease with professor-level medical staff, and operating specialized units by discipline, including the Epilepsy & Sleep Center, the Knee Joint Center and the Thyroid & Breast Center.
