Renovation covering a total of 480㎡ on the 1st floor of the New Building
St. Peter's Hospital, a general hospital focused on spine, joint and cerebro-cardiovascular care, has renovated its New Building.
According to St. Peter's Hospital on the 22nd, the renovation covered a total of 480 m² on the first floor of the New Wing. The New Wing is the area where the emergency room and the consultation rooms for major conditions such as spine, joint and cerebro-cardiovascular disease are concentrated. The hospital pursued the renovation to strengthen a patient-tailored treatment environment and improve the efficiency of patient flow.
Notably, Neurosurgery and the Spine Center, which see a high proportion of patients with spinal disease, moved their consultation space to the first floor in consideration of patients who have difficulty getting around. This allows patients with impaired mobility to receive care more conveniently. The patient waiting areas in front of the consultation rooms, the kiosks and the guidance system were also improved to suit patients' needs.
In addition, the number of beds in the emergency room, which operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, was increased. The measure is intended to reduce congestion and provide more stable and rapid emergency medical services.
Yoon, Kangjun, President of St. Peter's Hospital, said, “We are continually improving key infrastructure such as advanced equipment and facilities to create an in-hospital environment where patients can receive care more safely and comfortably,” adding, “We will continue to develop into the region's leading general hospital, offering highly satisfying medical services built on medical expertise and a patient-centered care system.”
